Plot summary of the miniseries Last Days of Ptolemy Grey
Ptolemy Grery (Samuel L. Jackson) is a 93-year-old man who is lonely and forgotten due to dementia. He was recently transferred to the care of an orphaned adolescent (Dominique Fishback) after being abruptly abandoned by his trusted caregiver.
A treatment temporarily restores some of his erased memories, prompting him to look into the death of his grand-nephew, who was also his only link to the outside world. Shocking truths from the past, present, and future are revealed. The mini-series is based on Walter Mosley’s novel of a similar name which was published in 2010.

Dominique Fishback joined the cast in March of 2021. Walton Goggins, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Damon Gupton, Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, and Omar Benson Miller joined the cast in April 2021, with production set to begin that month.
