Shouko Komi has already been called the school’s Madonna on her first day at Itan Private High School. Her towering gorgeous looks and long, black hair captivate everyone who sees her. But there’s one problem: Shouko, despite her fame, is terrible at interacting with others.

Hitohito Tadano, a standard high school kid, is nothing out of the ordinary. He quickly realizes that sitting next to Shouko has turned him become the enemy of everyone in his class due to his life motto, “read the situation and avoid conflict!” After being knocked unconscious by Shouko, Hitohito awakens to Shouko’s “meow.”

Shouko runs after claiming not to have heard anything. Hitohito thinks that Shouko has never made a single friend due of her unwillingness to communicate with others. Hitahito promises to assist Shouko make at least a hundred new friends in order to help her overcome her communication problem.
