Episode 8: “Point and Shoot”
Jimmy is given an address and a general description of Gus’ home by Lalo, who then gives him the go-ahead to shoot Gus there. Lalo binds Jimmy to a chair and departs after Jimmy persuades him to send Kim. Mike stops Kim at Gus’ front door, and she tells him what happened with Lalo. Mike sends his guys to Jimmy and Kim’s apartment when she points out that Gus’ body double matches the description that Lalo gave.
Gus believes the shooting attempt is a distraction and heads to Lavandera Brillante when Kim claims Lalo consented for her to take Jimmy’s position. Gus’ intended meth lab is where Lalo is gathering evidence for Eladio. Lalo ambushes Gus and murders his bodyguards.
Gus takes Lalo to the lab before starting a power outage. He finds the pistol he had earlier hidden in the shadows and starts shooting Lalo. He turns on the lights and discovers that Lalo has shot him, but Lalo is dead. Mike reveals that Howard’s death will be made to appear as a suicide as he and his guys remove Howard’s body from Jimmy and Kim’s apartment. Mike is in charge of overseeing Howard and Lalo’s burial on the lab’s floor.
